Abstract

The postpartum period is a crucial time that begins immediately after the delivery process and lasts about six weeks, a mother's body undergoes physical changes to return to its pre-pregnancy state. It is important to recognize changes in the postpartum period because they can potentially be a risk factor, one of which is urinary tract (UTI) and urinary retention. The incidence of urinary retention varies between 1.7-17.9%. In Indonesia, the incidence of RUPP is around 14.8%. The purpose of this care is to provide postpartum midwifery care with Urinary Retention. The case report method used is the SOAP management approach. With the results of the assessment obtained subjective data Mrs. H aged 24 years, gave birth to her first child, never had a miscarriage, complained of not being able to urinate. The results of objective data are a full bladder and there is pressure pain. Analysis Mrs. H aged 24 years P1A0 Post Partum day 4 with urinary retention. The management provided is USG, Catheterization, administration of pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. The conclusion of the care that has been given to Mrs. H with Postpartum Urinary Retention. There is no gap between theory and the care provided.
