ABSTRACT
This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Public-Private Mix (PPM) collaboration model implemented by Inisiatif Lampung Sehat in tackling Tuberculosis (TB) in Metro City, Lampung Province, Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with program coordinators and private health facility partners, as well as document review of annual TB case notification reports. The results indicated that the involvement of the private sector through the PPM model significantly increased the Case Notification Rate (CNR) following the intervention. The Treatment Success Rate (TSR) in private sector facilities reached the minimum standard of 90%. However, major challenges remain, including a high administrative burden on private practitioners and high staff turnover in private clinics, which necessitates repeated training. The PPM model by Inisiatif Lampung Sehat proved effective in expanding the reach of TB case detection in Metro City; nevertheless, simpler and more integrated reporting systems are required to ensure the sustainability of private sector participation.
