PENGARUH PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN DENGAN MEDIA AUDIOVISUAL TERHADAP PENGETAHUAN TENTANG INFEKSI MENULAR SEKSUAL PADA REMAJA DI SMA NEGERI 6 PALU

Infections (STIs) are infections or diseases that are mostly transmitted through sexual intercourse (oral, anal or vaginal). Sexually Transmitted Infections are divided into two according to their level of cure, namely curable and incurable. This study used audiovisual media, Audiovisual media is a media that can stimulate the sense of hearing and sight simultaneously, and can be heard and seen because it contains elements of sound and images. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of health education with audiovisual media on knowledge about sexually transmitted infections in adolescents. This research method is quantitative and the type of quasi-experimental design research (quasi-experiment) using the One Group Design Pretest-Postest design with the Accidental sampling technique and obtained 70 respondents. The results of this study before being given health education, the majority of respondents' knowledge levels were in the sufficient category as many as 49 people (70.0%) and after health education, the respondents' education levels were in the good category as many as 52 people (74.3%). Then the Wilcoxon test was conducted and the results obtained were that the P Value P (<0.05) means that there is an influence of health education with audiovisual media on knowledge about sexually transmitted infections in adolescents at SMA Negeri 6 Palu. So it can be concluded that the use of audiovisual media in providing health education can affect the level of knowledge of adolescents.
